How to keep articles flowing without having to develop new content

It’s a new year! It is time to start running with all of your fresh ideas to ensure your business grows. As most of you probably did, I made a list of things I’d like to accomplish this year with my business. One of the things on my list is to keep a steady flow of articles streaming to show my expertise in my field. The hard part about accomplishing this item is coming up with multiple unique topics to write about not only for me, but also for my clients. One thing I’ve always suggested to clients is to dig through articles from the past and see if they have anything that can be repurposed.

  • Product Stories

Did you release a product several years ago that is still successful or enhanced with improvements? Take those original stories and touch them up to show what has changed since its release. Current and potential customers might not be aware of how long your product has been successful and why. Or this article might educate them on features you now have available to them.

  • Success Stories

Yes, your old client success stories can also be repurposed! If the client is still using your product or service, contact them and write an update to your original story. Are they still happy with the product/service? What have they enjoyed most about it? Have they upgraded to a newer version and what kind of results are they experiencing? This is a great, easy way to gain client endorsement and boost your credibility in your industry.

  • Technical Articles

Educational articles are always great articles for repurposing. Look at new trends and see how they may apply to your past articles. Or maybe there is new information that can be added to enhance your customers’ education on a subject that you’ve previously researched and written about. Not only will this add to your current customers’ education but it also might reach and educate new customers.

Repurposing articles written in the past is a quick and valuable way to keep articles flowing for your business. Old content can be enhanced and improved for a fresh new look that’s ready for distribution. This is one item you can add to your list of things to accomplish this year. You will be very pleased with the results from ensuring you have a steady flow of articles streaming through your industry.
